The Story Behind the Brand

"Kev Blends is not only building a client base — he is building a name, a career and a legacy."

Kevin Merino Burgos, professionally known as Kev Blends, is a Salvadoran barber driven by discipline, creativity and a genuine passion for the barbering industry.

Born in El Salvador, Kevin spent the first 12 years of his life there. His interest in barbering began in 2019, shortly before the COVID-19 pandemic, when he started seeing haircutting as more than a service — it was an art capable of transforming a person's confidence, image and attitude.

During the 2020 quarantine, Kevin received his first opportunity to cut hair when his cousin agreed to be his model. With a tutorial playing as his guide, the final result did not come out exactly as expected, but the experience made him feel excited about what he could eventually become.

In December 2024, Kevin decided to take his passion seriously. He began researching barber schools, practiced on his friend Cristian and committed himself to learning the profession correctly. In January 2025, he enrolled in barber school and began accepting walk-in clients, gaining real-world experience and developing greater confidence with every haircut.

Today, Kev Blends specializes in modern haircuts, tapers and fades. His work is defined by attention to detail, respect for every client and a commitment to continuous improvement. What separates him from many others is that barbering is not something he does simply as a job — it is an industry he genuinely loves and a career he is determined to master.

For Kevin, barbering represents freedom: the freedom to grow through his own effort, build something of his own and leave a lasting mark through the quality of his work.

His vision is to become a recognized name in the barbering industry, collaborate with respected brands, build a strong social media presence, open his own location and create a professional team. He also hopes to inspire upcoming barbers to approach the profession with discipline, education, passion and respect.
